Jessica Wigley, MA has 15 years experience in the fields of child development and education. Jessica has always felt a strong connection with children and has a unique intuitive sense of their thoughts and feelings. After receiving her BA in psychology, Jessica felt drawn into the field of special education primarily due to her close relationship with her younger brother who is developmentally delayed.
After working in preschool special education for over 8 years, Jessica began specializing in autism and behavioral disorders. Upon having her own children, a deep shift occurred in her perception of the human experience especially in the area of adult/child relationships. She then started her own educational consulting company and soon after became a parent coach. She has held several jobs in the field of education including special education teacher, autism behavior specialist, parent advocate, home-hospital teacher, and community college child development instructor.
She currently devotes herself full-time to mothering her two sons, Gavin and Cole, while she continues to work part-time as a special education consultant, parent educator, and tutor. A PEACEFUL PARENT has grown out of Jessica's desire to guide parents towards the joy and wonderment of parenting from the heart.
